The Process and Results

In the following paragraph we will describe how we went about pitting all-time greats against each other in a historic matchup and who won. First, we decided that we would hold a draft to pick our teams. The draft consisted of playing rock paper scissors for first pick and taking turns picking players until both of us had 12 players. Ian recieved first pick and selected Michael Jordan. Note: once a specific  player was picked of a specific year, that player could not be picked again. However, players from that same season could be picked. As well, we could not choose players from the 16-17 NBA season. Also we were allowed to consult the Internet in between picks. Next, we decided to use a site called whatifsports.com to actually simulate the game. In order to do this we had to create 2 rosters on the site using the name of the player and the season  we picked them for. When it came time to actually simming the game we did not touch the minutes each player would play. Here's what the site chose for a starting lineup Team Young:

-PG:Jerry West

-SG:Michael Jordan

-SF:Julius Erving

-PF:Bob Pettit

-C:Wilt Chamberlain

And here's what the site chose for Team Matthews:

-PG:Oscar Robertson

-SG:Kobe Bryant

-SF:LeBron James

-PF:Kevin Garnett

-C:Kareem Abdul-Jabbar

Now, all we had to do was simulate the games. We decided that it would only be fair if we simmed it 100 times, alternating home court advantage each game. And without further ado, DRUMROLL PLEASE. The winner of the Draft Champion Hall of Fame Classic is... with a record of 52-48... Team Matthews!
